Dr. Warren C. W. Chan is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto in the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering. He also has affiliation with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Terrence Donnelly Center for Cellular and Biomolecular Research.

Dr. Chan received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1996 from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign, IL, USA) and PhD in 2001 from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN). He conducted post-doctoral training at the University of California (San Diego, CA).

Dr. Chan’s research interest is in the development of nano and microtechnology for cancer and infectious disease diagnosis. He has received the BF Goodrich Young Inventors Award and Lord Rank Prize Fund award in Optoelectronics.
